L.Acoustics Kiva II
138 dB of peak SPL (+ 6 dB SPL vs. Kiva)
Compact footprint, low weight
High amplifier density (16 ohms)
Smooth 100° horizontal polar response (K grill)
15° inter-element vertical flexibility
Multiple rigging accessories
RAL CLASSIC, IP55 rating
Kiva II is a new ultra-compact modular line source, adding 6dB of max SPL versus its predecessor, maximized amplifier density with 16 ohm impedance, and a new sturdy cabinet.
Despite its ultra-compact format, the Kiva II features L-Acoustics’ Wavefront Sculpture Technology™ (WST), giving it a long throw capability and delivering even SPL from the front row to the back of the audience. Its coplanar transducer arrangement and new K front grill generate a symmetric horizontal coverage of 100 degrees without secondary lobes over the entire frequency range.
Weighing only 31 pounds (14 kg), the product’s elegant lines and flush-fitted rigging allow it to melt into any architecture, making it a natural fit for installations in Performing Arts Centers and special events demanding minimum visual obtrusion, and particularly in L-ISA™ multi-channel configuration installations.
L.Acoustics Kara II
Internationally-recognized Kara with Panflex
Added variable directivity and improved polar stability
4 integrated horizontal directivities (70°/110° and 90° L/R) + 2 dB SPL at 70°
Compact and lightweight design Time-tested efficient rigging system
Part of the K Series, Kara II is a modular line source system that can be deployed standalone or with its companion subwoofer SB18. Assembled as a variable curvature line source with class-leading SPL per weight and footprint, Kara II is ideal for applications that require clarity and long throw capability such as performing arts, congregations, large corporate and special events.
Based on the Kara design, Kara II adds flexibility with PanflexTM. A single Kara II enclosure offers four horizontal directivity patterns: 70° or 110° symmetrical and 90° asymmetrical on either side. With a tighter control of the directivity, the 70° setting brings an additional 2 dB compared to the 110° setting increasing throw capability. With Panflex and inter-element angles ranging from 0° to 10°, a Kara II line source coverage can be precisely tailored to any audience geometry.
On its own Kara II can be used as a main system for vocal reinforcement and music material with light LF requirements or as a complement to large sound systems in fill and delay applications. Associated with its companion subwoofer SB18, Kara II modular system can accommodate any program material requiring bandwidth, contour and output.
